Painted in 2017 on a Gallery Wrap Canvas that does not require framing for display.

"Purple & Chartreuse Checkerboard" is a totally Non-Objective work combining a vibrantly colored randomly organized geometric grid with a lively colored but methodical checkerboard grid. The effect is substantial separation of the two components of the work and a strong sensation of depth between them. You almost feel like you're standing on a high platform looking down at the floor below. This painting is also a study for similar work I'm planning on a larger scale where "abstract meaning" is added to work otherwise viewed as totally non-objective.
