Painted in 2011 on a Gallery Wrap Canvas that does not require framing for display.

"Brown Bag" is a down-to-earth 3 dimensional rendition of a commonplace brown grocery bag immersed in a simple color grid that - as you continue to view it - suddenly, seems to leave the picture plane and hang in deep space morphing from a mundane Brown Bag to an object of beauty. It's a painting from my "Ordinary Things" series and it was included in my 2012 NYC Chelsea Gallery show that was reviewed by Gallery and Studio Magazine.
