"Open Box" - a painting from my "Boxes" series -  presents an objective image of a common brown shipping box immersed in a checkerboard grid. It was the featured work at my 2011 NYC Chelsea Gallery show "Homage To The Box" and, pictured in a review by Gallery and Studio Magazine referring to it as follows:
