Painted in 2011 on a Gallery Wrap Canvas that does not require framing for display.
"Egg Cream" is an illustration of a simple, luscious but difficult to craft soda fountain drink. It's a Brooklyn original like the Bagel and the Bialy and, it's especially cherished because of it's connection to my memories of Rock & Roll and my pal at the time Joe "Speedo" Frazier (sadly desist in April 2014) and his Doo-Wop group Speedo & The Impalas that hung at my favorite Egg Cream source; a candy store at the corner of Seaview Ave and Rockaway Parkway in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn.
So again, inspiration from life's experience and a symbolic object to expose the minimalist grandeur of Ordinary Things. "Egg Cream" also was included in my NYC Chelsea gallery show "Ordinary Things" reviewed by Gallery and Studio Magazine.
