Unframed stand alone hanging Relief (Wood Sculpture) Painting.
Constructed of wood board and painted with acrylics and enamels in 1995, "Popsicle" is a geometric abstract wall sculpture inspired by my study of the geometric relief work of the mid 20th Century British Painter Ben Nicholson. Initially, it was - I guess you can say - an off the cuff composition that came together and reminded me of an Ice Pop thus the title - "Popsicle".
"Popsicle" was chosen for display in 1996 state wide juried competition of the Ocean County New Jersey Artist's Guild and the 1996 state wide juried exhibition at the Art Alliance Gallery in Red Bank NJ.
Notes:
Priced at my standard for relief work plus 40% for selection to two important juried exhibitions.
